Online learning with a helping hand
Blended learning combines online learning with hand-holding from our team. You get the flexibility of learning on a screen without being left to figure everything out on your own.
How our blended model grew
When the Covid-19 lockdown made classroom training difficult, SkillMan moved its training online so that learners could keep going. During that time, our Virtual Customer Care Cell supported students and industry from their homes or base locations. Our blended model grew out of that experience. Blended training is now part of our e-learning services, which offer solutions for different skill sets, with assistance for reputed international third-party assessments and certifications.
What to expect
Every programme is different, and your counsellor will explain how yours is delivered. In general, blended learning brings together:
- Online learning that you can follow on a phone or computer.
- Hand-holding from people who guide you, answer your questions and help you stay on track.
- Hands-on practice for skills that need it. Your counsellor will tell you how practical work is arranged for your programme.
- Help and support through our Virtual Customer Care Cell when you need it.
How to make the most of it
- Set a fixed study time. Treat online sessions like a class. A regular routine helps you keep up.
- Find a quiet place. Use earphones if your home is noisy, and turn off notifications from other apps.
- Check your device and data. Keep your phone or computer charged, and make sure you have enough data before a session.
- Take notes. Writing key points in a notebook helps you remember and revise.
- Practise what you learn. Skills grow through doing, not just watching.
- Ask for help early. If something is unclear or you fall behind, tell your trainer or contact our support team straight away.
- Stay in touch. Reply to messages from your trainers, and attend any in-person sessions you are asked to join.
Is it right for you?
Blended learning suits learners who want flexibility, but it does need self-discipline. If you are unsure, talk to us. Our counsellors can explain how the online and in-person parts of your programme fit together.
