What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a website keep small pieces of information on your device.
Cookies we use
This portal uses only essential cookies. They are needed for the portal to work securely, and they are not used for advertising or to follow you across other websites.
- Session cookie: keeps your visit working as you move between pages, for example while you complete a form, and keeps authorised staff signed in to the admin panel.
- Security (CSRF) cookie: protects our forms against cross-site request forgery, a type of attack in which another website tries to submit a form in your name.
These cookies are removed automatically after a limited period, or earlier if you clear them from your browser.
Local storage
When you use the text-size controls (A-, A, A+) or switch on high-contrast mode, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. This keeps your preference in place on every page and on later visits from the same browser. This information stays on your device and does not identify you.
What we do not use
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking cookies, and we do not share cookie information with advertisers.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. However, because the cookies we use are essential, blocking them may prevent our forms from being submitted and may affect how the portal works. Clearing your browser’s stored site data resets the text size and contrast to their default settings.
External websites
Websites that we link to may set their own cookies, which are covered by their own policies. See our Hyperlinking Policy.
