My Career My Choice
“My Career My Choice” is our initiative to give every young person access to rewarding career guidance from industry-expert professionals. Our counsellors have vast experience in the education sector and work with school and college pass-outs to help them choose a career path with confidence.
Who it is for
- Students who have just finished school or college
- Young people who are unsure which sector or job role suits them
- Job seekers who want to move into a sector that is hiring
- Parents who want to understand the options open to their children
What a counselling session covers
A session is a conversation about you, your interests and the opportunities in front of you. Typically it covers:
- your education so far and what you enjoy doing
- the sectors that are hiring and the kinds of work in each
- job roles that suit your interests and strengths
- the training route to those roles and what it involves
- next steps, including how to enrol

- Career Finder: answer five quick questions and get suggested sectors and job roles.
- Job Role Explorer: search job roles, the tasks involved and the skills employers want.
- Knowledge Centre: free guides on choosing a sector, CVs, interviews and more.
